PROVIDENCE – A two-family property on Providence’s East Side recently sold for $1.4 million, according to Compass Inc., which represented both sides of the transaction. The property at 12 University Ave., between Wayland Square and College Hill, contains eight bedrooms, five bathrooms and 3,435 square feet of living space on a lot of approximately 0.08 acres. The building was constructed in 1900, according to the Providence property assessor’s database. The transaction was the third-highest-priced two-family home sale on the East Side year to date, according to Compass, based on records kept by the Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing Service.
